Best Farming Spot
  • The World that Never Was – Naught’s Approach

The best place to farm Twilight Crystals is in the World that Never Was (final dungeon). You’ll want to head to Naught’s Approach and fight Sorcerers–the only enemy that drops them.

Naught’s Approach / Kingdom Hearts II - Final Mix
Naught’s Approach.

Here’s the ideal farming route:

Enter the world from the Proof of Existence save point and then head north to Naught’s Approach. Here you’ll find a single Sorcerer. Take them out and turn around to reset it at the save point.

Rinse and repeat until you get all the Crystals you need.

Sorcerers

Part liquid, part Nobody--all magic / Kingdom Hearts II - Final Mix
Part liquid, part Nobody–all magic.

Sorcerers are deceptively powerful.

They harness a series of magic cubes to attack Sora.

These cubes are actual, solid objects and not just a magic attack. This means they can really get in your way.

The Sorcerer will deploy a variety of patterns with these cubes, most of which involve surrounding Sora and then closing in.

They also enjoy switching them to a stick-shape and just plain beating Sora with them.

All alone, Sorcerers aren’t much to write home about.

They don’t have a lot of HP and relatively low defense.

It is their cubes and the silly amount of damage they can do that’s the real worry.

When you first approach a Sorcerer, it won’t have the cubes out. It takes a moment to summon them.

If you’re quick, you can press this advantage and deal damage.

A good strat for the low-leveled or inexperienced is to switch to a Drive Form as soon as you enter the area and use the power to deal as much damage as you can before the squares arrive.

The cubes can be blocked, too. Reflect is an amazing tool if you have good timing. A well-reflected cube attack can knock it back to the caster and deal damage large enough to one-hit KO–but this takes practice.

Don’t bother with magic, either. As expected, Sorcerers are immune to it.

Well, except Reflect and Magnet.

You can use Magnet to stun the thing for a second, giving you a chance to damage it. It’s a good opening move, before the cubes come out.

How you play it depends on the situation.

Be aggressive in your opening moves, before the cubes, and super defensive when the squares are out. Don’t be afraid to take your time.

Using Twilight Crystals

Crystal for a Gem, Kupo / Kingdom Hearts II - Final Mix
Crystal for a Gem, Kupo!

You only need 12 Crystals to not only make one of everything that requires them, but also all the Mythril you’ll need to make everything else.

This is a fairly low number, so don’t expect to be fighting Sorcerers for too long.
