Best Farming Spot
  • Radiant Garden – Cave of Remembrance

The easiest way to farm Remembrance Gems is by fighting Mad Bumpers in the Cave of Remembrance: Depths.

You can find the entrance to this place near the Postern save point.

Note: You’ll need High Jump LV2 to reach this area, so you’ll have to level up Sora’s Valor Form a few times.

Once in the Depths, just drop down and start boppin’!

Alternatively, you could also go and fight Runemasters and Spring Metals in the Engine Chamber, but that’s much deeper into the cave and not quite as close to a save point.

Let’s cover both approaches and their nitty-gritty.

Cave of Remembrance: Depths

This Bumper? Mad / KH2FM
This Bumper? Mad.

When you drop down into the Depths, run to the back wall and two Mad Bumpers will spawn.

Take care of them and start backwards towards the entrance.

A few more Bumpers will appear.

Clean them up and hop on out back to the Postern.

This is the most efficient way to farm your Remembrance Gems. Enemies in the Cave reappear only after one screen transition–you don’t need to head back to the world map.

Fighting Mad Bumpers can be hard at first.

They have a pretty definitive learning curve.

When they start peeling out and dashing around, they’re invincible so get in the air and stay there as much as possible.

Magic is great here, Thunder and Reflect especially.

Learning when to use the Reflect spell is part of it, but it can seriously dampen their drive.

Keep in mind that when the Mad Bumpers are zipping around, they will drive right through the Reflect, though the spell will still trigger and deal damage.

Using Drive Forms is also a good tactic. Wisdom is a great choice due to the speed and range–it’s a smart move! I’ll see myself out.

Cave of Remembrance: Engine Chamber

The E. Chamber / KH2FM
The E. Chamber.

While there are more enemies here that drop Gems, the Engine Chamber is a trickier nut to crack and requires a lot more preparation to get to.

Accessing the chamber requires you have High Jump, Air Dodge, and Quick Run all at LV3–which means leveling the respective Drive Forms.

It’s also a tougher place to fight than in the Depths.

You don’t have the luxury of a nearby save point and the layout of the Chamber is much more intense.

Still, should you farm here, stick to the upper level near the white doors and focus down on Spring Metals and Runemasters.

Both of these Heartless are weak to physical attacks and can be sucked up pretty easily using Magnet spells.
