Best Farming Spot Halloween Town – Hinterlands through Dr. Finklestein’s Lab

The best enemy to farm for Lucid Stones are Graveyards. These are exclusive to Halloween Town, but here’s our suggested route which makes farming these Stones pretty cut-and-dry:

  1. Enter the world at the Yuletide Hill save point
  2. Turn around and exit to the Hinterlands
  3. Clear out the Hinterlands and exit to the Graveyard
  4. In the Graveyard, head east to the Curly Hill
  5. Clear out the hill and return to the Graveyard
  6. From the Graveyard, go to the Town Square
  7. After clearing out the Square, enter Dr. Finklestein’s Lab and use the save point to exit the world and re-enter at Yuletide Hill

This route has you fighting about seven or so Graveyards, as well as a few Wight Knights. You should get at least one Stone per run, though the odds of getting more are pretty high.

Let’s take a look at actually battling Graveyards, as well as the other foes that can give you a Lucid Stone.

Graveyards

Graveyards in a graveyard / Kingdom Hearts II - Final Mix
Graveyards in a graveyard.

Their ominous name is portent to their difficulty: Graveyards can provide a challenge to anybody who hasn’t already overpowered themselves.

Their knife-swinging melee attacks can cause a boatload of damage and quickly drain Sora to zero.

When they shift to their Graveyard form–an ominous headstone with spinning ghosts–they tend to start doing a rush attack that can easily stunlock Sora to that game over screen. They can’t die when doing this attack, you’ll have to wait it out.

Stay diligent with your arsenal: Reflect, Wisdom Form, and strong physical attacks all help make quick(er) work of these guys.

Wight Knights

A Wight Knight mid-strut

As a returning heartless from Kingdom Hearts 1, the Wight Knights in KH2 have come back with a vengeance.

They’ve learned to use their arms even better and when they start flailing around, you’d best get out of the way.

If you get surrounded by two or more flailing Wights, then you might be in trouble. Keep your Reflect spell handy or learn to stay in the air when they’re around.

You might even prefer switching to a Drive Form.

Despite that build-up, they’re not that bad, but can be disastrous if underestimated. Keep your wits about you and you’ll be fine.

Toy Soldiers

Toy Soldier - Atten-shun / Kingdom Hearts II - Final Mix
Toy Soldier – Atten-shun!

These are the festive version of Graveyards, though not quite as scary.

These Soldiers prefer to stay back and shoot Sora with their muskets, so learning to be quick (or how to reflect on the fly) is going to save your life.

They don’t have a lot of HP, though and go down fairly quick as long as you keep the pressure up. They should be prioritized too.

Make sure they’re the first enemy to get the boot. If they stick around you’ll likely be sniped quite a bit.

If you get close, it will start attacking with knives and these can do some kind of substantial damage unless you’re careful.

Once again: Reflect.

That spell is doing a lot of heavy lifting here and for good reason–it can save your life.

Using Lucid Stones

A Midnight Anklet, Kupo / Kingdom Hearts II - Final Mix
A Midnight Anklet, Kupo!

You only need 4 Lucid Stones to make one of everything that requires them.

This is a good, low number, considering the enemies you have to conquer for them.

That Buster Band is pretty sweet, though…maybe sweet enough to fight for a few more stones…
