  • Radiant Garden – Cave of Remembrance: Engine Chamber

The only place to farm Remembrance Crystals by defeating Reckless Heartless in the Engine Chamber area of the Cave of Remembrance.

You enter the Cave through the opening at the Postern save point in Radiant Garden.

Tip: You’ll need all your Drive Forms leveled up to get to the Engine Chamber. Specifically, you need their Air Dodge, Quick Run, and High Jump abilities all at LV3 to get past the platforming puzzles on the way.

Once you’ve reached the Engine Chamber, it is highly recommended you go through it and go through the rest of the zone to the Cave’s back exit that leads to the Restoration Site in Radiant Garden.


Doing this means you have a quicker way to get to the Engine Chamber for easier farming.

Now–let’s discuss the Reckless and what we’re doing here.

Reckless Heartless

Ready to wreck a Reckless.

These pallet-swaps are hard. They can give any underleveled or unprepared player a real run for their munny.

Be prepared to use a lot of Magnet, Reflect, and Curative spells.

Reckless are tough, but the Engine Chamber is full of knock-back Steam busts and moving floors. It can get really disorientating really fast, so you have to keep on your toes.

You have to learn both the area and how to use it.

What makes it worse is that rarely will you just be fighting a Reckless. There’s always going to be another Heartless or two around.

It’s hard, but doable. Remember to use all the tools in your kit and don’t give up!

Using Remembrance Crystals

You’ll need 6 Crystals to make one of everything that requires them.

However, some of the items that require Remembrance Crystals for synthesis are so good that you’ll probably want more than the 6 minimum.

So I hope you got good at fighting in that God-forsaken Engine Chamber!
