The best way to farm Frost Stones is by heading to the Timeless River and doing loops through the four sub-areas, fighting all the Hot Rod and Aeroplane Heartless that show up there.
Here’s the best farming route:
Start at Mickey’s House and go through the Scene of the Fire, Lilliput, and Construction Site. Doing this will have you fighting about 10 Hot Rods and Aeroplanes, giving you plenty of opportunity to earn a Frost Stone.
It’s super convenient that both the Heartless that drop the Stones live in the same place and in good numbers. Let’s talk about battling these vehicular vermin.
Hot Rods
Modeled after vehicles from Mickey’s Golden Age era cartoons, these road warriors love speeding around and trying their best to flatten Sora and crew.
They also swing around their bumpers in a cleave attack, though this is much more easy to avoid.
When a Hot Rod starts peeling out, any head-on attack will be deflected and if Sora takes a hit, he’ll be stunned and knocked back.
When Hot Rods start zipping around, start jumping and trying your best to get behind them.
Defeating Hot Rods when they’re walking on their wheels (as cars are known to do) is your best bet. Get rid of them quickly before they start speeding around, though this can be tricky when there’s a lot of them and others heartless around.
Aeroplanes
Planes with feet?! It’s more common than you’d think.
These footsy flyers are a common tag-team partner to Hot Rods.
While the cars take charge of the ground, the Aeroplanes roll the skies.
Their main method of attack is by strafing Sora with annoyingly small bullets. These little pellets can stunlock Sora if he’s surrounded, which can be a bummer.
The best way to deplete the Aeroplanes’ small amount of HP is by using either Blizzard or Thunder. Using magic to quickly get them out of the sky is a good alternative to jumping after them.
Overall, Aeroplanes aren’t too hard, but don’t let them surround you.
Using Frost Stones
You only need 4 Frost Stones to make one of everything that requires them.
With how many Hot Rods and Aeroplanes you’ll be fighting (and hopefully defeating) you’ll reach this number in no time.
