The best way to farm for Frost Gems is to fight Icy Cubes and Fortunetellers in Agrabah.

Here’s the best farming route:

Enter at the Palace Walls save point and head towards the Cave of Wonders. Right at the entrance you’ll fight 6 Icy Cubes.

Head inside the cave and fight down the Valley of Stone, where you’ll encounter 4 or so Fortunetellers (among other enemies). Once you reach the save point in the adjoining Stone Guardians area, return to the world map and head back to the Palace Walls to start again.

This is the quickest and dirtiest way to earn Frost Gems.

As a bonus, you’ll be fighting other heartless as well and can earn a true treasure trove of goodies.

Fortunetellers

Pain is in your future!

Yes, it’s all one word.

These dudes are an air enemy, so you’ll have to meet them on their terms. It’s probably the best way to deal with them, though don’t be afraid to use the occasional Thunder spell.

Fortunetellers can swoop in close to try and get you with their crystal balls, but it’s an obvious physical attack and easy to jump away from.

Their main source of hurt comes from the ice crystals they shoot.

These can combo down Sora pretty quick if you’re not careful.

You can be pretty proactive about it and block these crystals. Doing so deflects returns them to the sender and does damage significant enough to easily defeat them.

Tip: Keep moving when in battle, too. Stand still too long and the Fortuneteller will (literally) freeze you in place, which can leave you open to a whole world of hurt.

Icy Cubes

Ice Cubes

Okay, I’ll say it:

These things are adorable.

You’ll have to get over that if you want their Gems, though.

Honestly, their cuteness is probably their greatest defense. They don’t have much in terms of HP, so a clean Fire spell will easily mop them up (cuz they’ll melt).

Sora’s Vicinity Break ability will also do wonders. Just get into the center of the icy group and bam, easy win.

There’s not a lot to say about these tiny guys–just swing away.

Using Frost Gems

A Fencer’s Earring, Kupo!

You only need 2 Frost Gems to make one of everything that requires them.

This is a pathetically low number and you’ll probably get what you need before you even consider farming for them.

Oh well. At least you know how.
