Blazing Gem

Best Farming Spot
  • Agrabah – Agrabah

The best way to farm Blazing Gems is to fight Fat Bandits in Agrabah.

Here’s the easiest farming route:

Head to the Peddler’s Shop save point, then leave to Agrabah proper to immediately fight two Fat Bandits. Then head up the short staircase right behind them to spawn another Fat Bandit (and some Fiery Globes).

After you clear out these two groups, head back to the Peddler’s Shop and return to the world map to reset everything.

This is the most efficient way to farm for Blazing Gems and you’ll get what you need in no time. Let’s go over actually battling these two Heartless and how to down them as quickly as possible.

Fat Bandits

Big boned, please.

Much like their Large Body cousins, Fat Bandits deflect most direct frontal attacks.

Blizzard magic works great here, but the ideal practice is to either get behind them or use the Vicinity Break or Explosion combo abilities to bypass their frontal defenses.

If you can deal certain damage to them, you can follow up with a fun aerial reaction command that deals large damage–usually enough to finish them off.

If you’re strong enough, you can just Dodge Roll behind them and smack them to death, but using this reaction command really helps if you’re still low-level.

Wisdom Form is super helpful too as it relies on magic damage–something Fat Bandits don’t have a lot of resistance to.

It may take a bit to get the hang of beating bandits, but once you get it, you’ve got it forever.

Fiery Globes

A Fiery Globe

These little living lava rocks often appear with Fat Bandits and usually in groups.

They don’t present too much of a challenge, only doing stuff like casting fire magic or trying to explode near Sora.

These guys are an easy mop-up using AOE attacks like Explosion.

Even a long keyblade with abilities like Slapshot can easily send them on their way. Of course (obviously) Blizzard magic can put the icy kibosh on them.

There’s not really a lot to say about Fiery Globes.

They’re quick to get rid of, and should be the first targets when they appear. Sure are cute, though.

Using Blazing Gems

Synthesizing the Mage Earring / Kingdom Hearts II - Final Mix
Synthesizing the Mage Earring

You only need 2 Blazing Gems to create one of everything that requires them. This is such a silly, low number that you’ll have your gems before you even realize you’re farming for them (you know what I mean).
