Serenity Power
Dropped By
  • Pink Agaricus (20%-100%)
Best Farming Spot
  • Deep Jungle – Treehouse

The only way to get Serenity Powers is by finding the Pink Agaricus Heartless and landing as many hits on it as you can before it disappears.

Your chance of a Serenity Power drop depends on how well you did.

Consult the table below to see your odds:

Number of Hits Chance of a Serenity Power
1-39 0%
40-69 10%
70-99 20%
100+ 100%

To make the Pink Agaricus appear, you first have to find the three White Mushrooms hiding around the Treehouse area and cast stop on them. You’ll know that these guys are around because no other heartless will show up.

So earning a Serenity Power is no small task. Let’s take a closer look at every step involved.

Step 1: Making the Pink Agaricus Appear

The first challenge is just making Pinky even show up.

This is done by finding his fungus family that are hiding around the Treehouse and casting Stop magic on them.

There are a total of 10 possible hiding spots:

Once you’ve Stopped three shrooms it’s time to move on to the main event.

Step 2: Defeating the Pink Agaricus

Always dancing, you can’t ‘stop’ it / KH1FM
Always dancing, you can’t ‘stop’ it!

Like every other mushroom Heartless, the Pink Agaricus has a silly little requirement you must fulfill if you want its prize.

This requirement?

Hit it as many times as you can.

If you can get over 40 hits, you have a chance at a Serenity Power. The higher the count, the higher that chance increases.

Get 100 hits (or more) and you’re 100% getting a Serenity Power (as well as the rare Prime Cap accessory).

But getting 100 hits is going to take a lot more than just Sora’s swing-swing combo.

You cannot rely on his basic attacks for this. Instead, you’ll have to think outside the box.

Tips for Getting 100 Hits

First and foremost, you have to cast Stop on the Pink Agaricus. This is a requirement, or else it’ll run away after one hit.

Then here’s how to gear up:

  1. Choose equipment that prioritizes MP, such as the Diamond Dust keyblade and the Cosmic Arts accessory. The more MP you have, the longer Stop will last.
  2. Beyou even approach it, cast an Aero spell on Sora. This shield will hit the Mushroom as you attack it, adding extra hits.
  3. Be sure to equip the Hurricane Blast ability. This speeds up Sora’s aerial combo and you’re going to be spending most, if not all, of your attacking time in the air.

The lynchpin ability for all of this is Sora’s Ragnarok attack. You learn this after defeating Riku for the first time in Hollow Bastion. Use it as much as you can and be sure to always hit with its Impact finisher–those lasers add a lot to the hit counter.

Your approach should be something like this:

  1. Cast an Aero spell on Sora.
  2. Right before casting Stop, jump at the Pink Agaricus so that Aero can get a few free hits in before Stop takes effect.
  3. Go ham with both aerial combos and Ragnarok. Stay in the air as much as possible.

This isn’t an easy feat.

It’ll take a lot of fine-tuning and practice.

The worst part is that you’ll have to find the Mushroom squad each time before you get another shot at the Agaricus itself. And getting them to even appear can be a challenge.

And remember to leave the world entirely after every attempt, since you’ll have to leave and re-land again to get another chance at a spawn.
