Back in Agrabah

Sora, Donald, and Goofy have been to Agrabah before, but things have changed since they last visited. For one, the town layout is very different. Secondly, Iago, who once aided the evil Jafar, is now asking for forgiveness.

Event: Defeat all the Heartless

Defeating all of the Heartless in this fight is actually impossible. They’ll keep coming and coming, so you really just have to survive and take out as many as you can. You may want to go into Wisdom Form for this fight. There is a never ending supply of Heartless in this battle, so there is no shortage of EXP, plus the extra speed and mobility will help when there are more Heartless than you can handle.

After Iago … sort of … saves them, the gang retreat in the nearby “Pedlar’s Shop”. It seems Iago is looking to apologize to Aladdin and Jasmine for his past behavior, but needs a little help doing so. Reluctantly, the gang agrees to help, so it’s time to set out for “The Palace”. Head back out to “Agrabah” and head through the streets until you get there.

Jasmine is waiting at “The Palace”, but Iago’s presence isn’t exactly welcome. After learning about Aladdin, the gang decides to track him down. Head back out into “Agrabah” to find him.

Treasure Hunting

After your brief reunion, you learn that the Pedlar is in possession of Jafar’s old lamp. Time to return to the “Pedlar’s Shop” to get it back. The Pedlar’s Price is a rare treasure from the Cave of Wonders, so you’ll have to head all the way out there. Return to “Agrabah” and proceed to the “Bazaar”. Head through to the “Palace Walls”, where Genie shows up to reveal the path to the Cave of Wonders.

Head out to the “Cave of Wonders: Entrance” and proceed through the mouth to the “Cave of Wonders: Valley of Stone”. There are all kinds of Heartless in here, so defeat them as you proceed down the hill to the “Cave of Wonders: Stone Guardians”. Abu can’t help his obsession with jewels, so after triggering a trap, it’s time to guide him across the room so he can return the jewel.

Event: Guide Abu Across the Room

The goal here is to guide Abu across the room so he can return the jewel and call off the traps. To do so, you’ll need to use the Jump! Reaction Command whenever prompted to give Abu a boost over the incoming waves in the floor. The falling ice crystals are a trivial matter, so you can pretty much leave them to Aladdin, Donald, or Goofy to take care of. Focus on getting Abu and yourself across the room. When you reach the other side, finish off the challenge with the Set the Jewel! Reaction Command.

Victory in this event earns you an HP +5 Get Bonus for Sora, the Donald Blizzard for Donald, an HP +4 Get Bonus for Goofy, and an HP +15 Get Bonus for Aladdin.

After clearing the trial in the “Cave of Wonders: Stone Guardians”, it’s time to proceed to the “Cave of Wonders: Chasm of Challenges”. Examine the nearby stone to initiate the challenge.

Event: Complete the Chasm of Challenges

The Chasm of Challenges is littered with Heartless, and you have to take them all out to proceed through the chasm. Each wave you clear will cause the platform beneath you to disappear, dropping you down to the next layer. The defeat the Heartless at the very bottom to end the challenge. You have 2 Minutes to clear the Chasm of Challenges of all Heartless.

After finishing the Chasm of Challenges, head up the steps and enter the “Cave of Wonders: Treasure Room”. The prize you seek is inside, but so is a swarm of Heartless!

Event: Defeat all the Heartless

The room goes dark and Heartless appear out of nowhere inside the “Cave of Wonders: Treasure Room”. You’ll have to take them all out in order to return back to the city. Defeating the Heartless in this fight shouldn’t be too much of a problem, especially if you can manage to enter Valor Form or Wisdom Form. You should also use Limit Commands to breeze through the more overwhelming waves of Heartless.

Victory in this event earns you an HP +5 Get Bonus for Sora, an HP +4 Get Bonus for Donald, the Auto Healing Ability for Goofy, and an HP +15 Get Bonus for Aladdin.

City in Danger

After grabbing the treasure and defeating all of the Heartless, it’s time to head all the way back to the city. You can use the stone at the bottom of the “Cave of Wonders: Chasm of Challenges” to warp back to the top. Head back through the cave and return to the city. Make your way to “The Palace” to catch Pete and the Pedlar before Jafar gets released from the lamp!

Boss: Volcanic Lord & Blizzard Lord

HP: 351 (Volcanic Lord & Blizzard Lord)
STR: 22 (Volcanic Lord & Blizzard Lord)
DEF: 12 (Volcanic Lord & Blizzard Lord)

The Volcanic Lord and Blizzard Lord are not as much of a two-adversary battle as you may be led to believe. The two enemies take turns dishing out damage while the other just hides off in the background. You’ll only ever have the worry about one of them at any given moment. They will never attack together.

Usually the Volcanic Lord steps up first, and he’ll attack with Fire-based abilities. Watch for opportunities to use the Firagun Reaction Command when the Volcanic Lord starts to bounce around the area. It’ll leave volcanic craters in its wake, so use it quickly to send the Volcanic Lord reeling back into the Blizzard Lord. This will give you the chance to move in for some standard aerial combos. Continue pummeling the Volcanic Lord until it splits apart into a swarm of Fiery Globes. Defeat all of them, then turn your attention to the Blizzard Lord.

The Blizzard Lord, as you may have guessed, will rely on Blizzard magic to deal its damage. Like with the Volcanic Lord, you can use the Blizzagun Reaction Command to plug up the Blizzard Lord’s mouth before it can use its ice breath. This will send the Blizzard Lord spiraling off into the Volcanic Lord, where you can then unleash aerial combos until it bursts into Icy Cubes. Defeat them and then return to fighting the Volcanic Lord.

This pattern will continue until they are both defeated. If, at any point, you get surrounded by ice crystals while fighting the Blizzard Lord, use a Fire spell to melt them away. Likewise, when fighting the Volcanic Lord, if it summons a row of fire balls in the center of the area, you can send a single shot of Blizzard Magic down the row to put out the flames. The Blizzard Lord also has the ability to freeze Sora and his allies, which can also make using Limit Commands or going into Drive Forms temporarily impossible if the character you need is frozen. If this happens, position yourself near the frozen ally and use a Fire spell to thaw them out.

Victory against Volcanic Lord & Blizzard Lord earns you the Explosion Ability for Sora, an HP +4 Get Bonus for Donald, an extra Armor Slot as a Get Bonus for Goofy, and an HP +15 Get Bonus for Aladdin.

Defeating the two Heartless sends Pete running off scared. The gang ensures that the lamp can never be found again by burying it deep in the desert. Sora receives the Lamp Charm, which allows you to use the Genie Summon.
