# Re:Coded > Stat Matrix

The Stat Matrix is a new concept to the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Essentially, it functions as a grid in which players can install Chips that upgrade Data Sora’s stats and Abilities. By installing one Chip, spaces adjacent to that installed Chip become available to install future Chips. Players can form chains of Chips making their way across the Matrix. There are several kinda of Chips, and several features within the Stat Matrix. They are outlined below.

## Features

There are several built-in features within the Stat Matrix that make navigating it all the more worth while. There are three major features to keep an eye out for: CPU’s, Cheat Tuners, and Bonus Boosters. CPU’s are useful when installing Chips. Cheat Tuners let you alter aspects of gameplay such as the difficulty mode or even how much EXP Data Sora gains when he defeats enemies. Bonus Boosters equip new Abilities to Data Sora. For a complete list of Bonus Boosters, refer to the Abilities page under the Re:Coded drop-down menu.

### CPU’s

CPU’s are blocks that are permanently installed into various sections of the Stat Matrix. Installing Chips between two CPU’s will activate a bonus feature that doubles the effect of all the Chips between the two CPU’s.

### Difficulty Cheat

The Difficulty Cheat is a Cheat Tuner that allows players to alter the difficulty mode at any point during the game. Players may choose from four difficulty modes: Beginner, Standard, Proud, and Critical.

### Loot Cheat

The Loot Cheat changes the rate at which enemies drop Items. Players can multiply the drop rate of enemies up to 16 times the normal rate, but unfortunately, the more you jack up the drop rate, the more Data Sora’s max HP is drastically lowered. Putting the drop rate all the way up at x16 reduces Data Sora’s max HP to 10% of its normal stat!

### CP Cheat

The CP Cheat allows players to increase the amount of CP gained from defeating enemies. Players can raise the CP rate up to x4, but in return, Data Sora will gain much less EXP for each Heartless he defeats. Raising the CP rate all the way up to x4 reduces the EXP rate to 1/8 of its normal rate.

### HP Cheat

The HP Cheat lets players lower the HP of enemies all the way down to 1 HP. Unfortunately, reducing the HP of enemies also reduces the HP of Data Sora.

### Prize Cheat

The Prize Cheat can be used to raise or lower the drop rate of Prize Orbs. Players can choose between settings of x0 through x5, each of which alters the drop rate of prizes accordingly. However, adjusting the drop rate of prizes also adjusts the strength of enemies. Lowering the prize drop rate lowers the enemies’ strength while raising the drop rate raises the strength of enemies.

## Chips

Chips can be installed into blank spaces on the Stat Matrix. Making paths of Chips that link features on the Stat Matrix together will activate that feature. There are several types of Chips to collect and install.
