A skilled Keyblade wielder, Sora has saved the worlds more times than one. Faced with his Mark of Mastery Exam, Sora must now venture into the Realm of Sleep to awaken the sleeping worlds to become a true Keyblade Master.

Unbeknownst to Sora, a mysterious boy in a black coat has drastically interfered with his Mark of Master Exam. A younger version of Master Xehanort from the past has found the means to travel through time, and is putting into motion a chain of events that could very well spell the end for Sora.

A fellow warrior of the Keyblade, Riku once walked the path of Darkness. After finding a way to conquer his own dark side, Riku now walks the path of Twilight, wielding light and darkness in equal shares.

Riku must now face his Mark of Mastery Exam alongside Sora to become a true Keyblade Master, but a mysterious figure in a black coat makes things a little more complicated than they were originally intended to be. Riku must now fight off the Nightmares and shadows from his past in order to protect Sora from the newly revived Master Xehanort.

King Mickey

Mickey is the King of Disney Castle and a fellow wielder of the Keyblade. He aided Sora on his journeys numerous times, as well as helped Riku battle the darkness within his heart.

Mickey was asked by Yen Sid to summon Sora and Riku to take their Mark of Mastery Exams. When he learns that Master Xehanort has returned and is now interfering with Sora’s and Riku’s quest, he sets out to help them in any way he can.

Master Yen Sid

Yen Sid was once a Keyblade Master, and took up training Mickey as his apprentice. He aided Sora in his fight against the Organization. He has also predicted that Xehanort may return now that both his Heartless and Nobody have been defeated.

Yen Sid has summoned Sora and Riku to take their Mark of Mastery Exams, charging them with the task of waking the sleeping worlds from their slumber. These Keyholes of Sleep must be unlocked if Sora and Riku are to be ready for Xehanort’s supposed return.

Lea once lost his heart and, as a result, the Nobody, Axel, was created. Returning to his normal form, Lea has now awoken with all of his memories of his time in the Organization as Axel.

Lea travels to Yen Sid in hopes of finding the answers to his questions – and also in the hopes of learning how to wield a Keyblade.

Young Xehanort

An enigmatic figure who appears to Sora and Riku many times during their journey through the Sleeping Worlds. At first, his agenda is unclear, but it is later revealed that he is actually a younger version of Master Xehanort from the most distant past.

Young Xehanort is traveling through time to gather different incarnations of himself (such as Ansem and Xemnas) for some sort of nefarious purpose. His schemes begin to reveal themselves toward the end of Sora and Riku’s adventure, and offer answers to much grander questions concerning Sora’s and Riku’s destinies, and their adventures thus far.
