Starting Stats

Sora’s starting stats are determined at the beginning of the game.  During your visit to Dive to the Heart, you are asked to chose one weapon to keep and one weapon to give up.  Whatever combination of weapons you choose will determine Sora’s start stats, as well as his Ability tree for the rest of the game.  Each possible outcome is detailed below.

Keep Sword, Give Up Staff

  • HP: 18
  • MP: 2
  • AP: 1
  • STR: 6
  • DEF: 2
  • Item Slots: 2
  • Equipment Slots: 2

Keep Sword, Give Up Shield

  • HP: 18
  • MP: 2
  • AP: 3
  • STR: 6
  • DEF: 1

Keep Staff, Give Up Sword

  • HP: 18
  • MP: 3
  • AP: 3
  • STR: 3

Starting Equipment

Depending on which weapon (mentioned above) you choose to keep, Sora will start with that weapon for the duration of Dive to the Heart.  However, his starting Accessories and Stock Items are unaffected by this choice.  If the player chooses to play on Beginner difficulty, the game provides extra starting equipment to make the experience even easier than a playthrough selected on a higher difficulty.
