Mission 45 – Collect Hearts

Rank: Rookie
Treasure Chests: 4
Heart Points: x3.95
Munny: x11.85
EXP: x1.88

Another standard Heart Collection Mission, though this time will require a little more effort. The Heartless seem to be pretty scarce around Halloween Town, but a local dog named Zero seems to have the ability to sniff them out. All you have to do is give him a little incentive first. Pick up Bones around town and feed them to Zero, and he will help you track down all of the Heartless you need in order to achieve 100% Completion on this Mission.

Mission 46 – Collect Hearts

Rank: Rookie
Treasure Chests: 3
Heart Points: x3.95
Munny: x11.85
EXP: x1.88

Partnered with Demyx, take out the Heartless in the “Outside the Coliseum” area, then head into the “Coliseum Vestibule”. Talk to Phil to begin the day’s training.

Similar to previous visits to Olympus Coliseum, your task here is to defeat Heartless in “The Coliseum”. Use the barrels scattered around to rack up Heart Points and earn Mission Completion. You only get 3 tries this time though. If you don’t reach 100% Completion before the end of your third try, the Mission ends.

Mission 47 – Collect Hearts

Rank: Rookie
Treasure Chests: 3
Heart Points: x3.95
Munny: x11.85
EXP: x1.88

Follow the White Rabbit into the “Bizarre Room”. The Doorknob gives the suggestion to use the bottles on the table to shrink down and follow him further.

Unfortunately, the White Rabbit has completely disappeared, but getting back to the task at hand, Heartless will appear all over the “Bizarre Room” now that you’re smaller. There are even Heartless on top of the table and on top of the stove, so be sure to climb up there and take them all out.

Once you’ve cleared the room, approach the brown chairs along the west wall. Something’s off about them, so strike the one on the right to reveal its true form.

Boss: Lurk Lizard

HP: 850.00          STR/DEF: 24.00

The Lurk Lizard is very similar to the Veil Lizard you’ve fought before. It likes to stay invisible during the battle, so watch out for its tongue flying out of nowhere. You can avoid this attack and follow the tongue back to the creature, attacking it to make it visible again for a short time.

When you’re in close, the Lurk Lizard counters with spinning attack that can inflict Shoe Glue on Roxas. Use the Block ability to avoid taking damage from this attack.

From far away, the Lurk Lizard will continue to try and grab you with its tongue. If it succeeds, rapidly press the A Button to break free. If you dodge the attack, the Lurk Lizard stay motionless for a while after missing its target, so use this opportunity to deal damage.

The Lurk Lizard’s worst attack is the lasers it can shoot from its eyes. This attack hurts a lot, but is pretty simple to dodge. If the Lurk Lizard jumps far to get away, attack with Fire or Blizzard spells, which are very effective.

Once you’ve defeated the Lurk Lizard, use the bottles on the table to grow back to regular size, then return to the “Rabbit Hole” to RTC.

Mission 48 – Eliminate the Solid Armor

Rank: Rookie
Treasure Chests: 8
Heart Points: x3.95
Munny: x11.85
EXP: x1.88

Your Mission here is to defeat the Solid Armor Heartless, which is located in the “Cave/Entrance Hall” area. To get there, enter “The Cave of Wonders” area through the secret hole in the wall in the “Agrabah Gate”. Enter the “Cave/Entrance Hall” to take on your target.

Boss: Solid Armor

HP: 1814.40          STR/DEF: 108.10

Just like all of its counterparts, the Solid Armor is immune to all physical damage except for on the head. It is also very susceptible to Blizzard spells, so use those to knock it on its back and daze it for a while. Attack will combos while its down, and return to using magic when it gets back up.

Watch where you step in this room though. Moving into certain areas will trigger the appearance of Large Armors, which will only add to the difficulty of this Mission. Even if Large Armors starts to appear, try to remain focused on the Solid Armor. It’s the real target, and the Mission ends when it falls.

Mission 49 – Collect Hearts

Rank: Rookie
Treasure Chests: 8
Heart Points: x3.95
Munny: x11.85
EXP: x1.88

This is a standard Heart Collection Mission. Be sure to bring lots of Fire magic to handle the Icy Cubes and Snowy Crystals, as well as lots of Aero and Blizzard magic to take on the Snapper Dogs and Bully Dogs. Of course, bring lots of Ethers to recharge casting.

Mission 50 – Vanquish the Heartless Threat

Rank: Rookie
Treasure Chests: 4
Heart Points: x4.00
Munny: x12.00
EXP: x1.96

This Mission drops you in the “Ballroom” area, and your target is way out on the “Bridge”. Head straight through the “Entrance Hall” into the “Courtyard”. The Beast gets thrown all the way over the front gate and lands just in front of Roxas. Nevertheless, you’ve still got to take this thing down, so head out onto the “Bridge” to face your opponent.

Boss: Infernal Engine

HP: 2400.00          STR/DEF: 38.25

The Infernal Engine is the ultimate Heartless war machine, capable to dealing out some serious fire power. To make matters worse, you’re kind of on a time limit here: that thing cannot be allowed to reach the front gates of the castle, and the fact that it’s constantly moving forward means you’ll be dealing with an constantly shrinking battleground.

Attacking directly is effective, but leaves you wide open to attacks of all kinds, which will quickly result in defeat. The best method of damaging it is to stay at mid-range and wait for the Infernal Engine to open its mouth. It will begin blasting fireballs at you, which you can deflect back at it using the Block Ability. This will destroy the smaller Heartless on top of it.

When the smaller Heartless are gone, the Infernal Engine will spit crates out of its mouth, which will break open and release several Soldiers. Use this time to attack the Infernal Engine directly, while taking out any Soldiers that get in your way. Pretty soon, the smaller Heartless reappear and the Infernal Engine is back on the offensive.

Another good opening to take advantage of is while the Infernal Engine is charging up its battering ram. Move in and unleash combo after combo until the energy stops charging. Then get off to the side quick to avoid taking the brunt of the attack. You will probably take some damage when the Infernal Engine smacks into you, but it’s nowhere near the amount of damage you’d take it you got hit by the battering ram itself.

The Infernal Engine will sometimes open its mouth and send explosive barrels tumbling towards you. Do not attack them, as they will explode, dealing a lot of damage. Simply Dodge Roll left and right to avoid taking damage until it stops.

The worst attack up the Infernal Engine’s proverbial sleeve is the hammer that comes out of its mouth when you are at close range. It’ll smash around on the ground a few times, dealing some pretty serious damage if you get caught in the blow. Try to keep your distance to avoid dealing with this attack as much as possible.

Mission 51 – Eliminate the Pink Concertos

Rank: Agent
Treasure Chests: 8
Heart Points: x4.05
Munny: x12.15
EXP: x2.05

Use the bottles on the table to shrink down and enter the “Hedge Maze Entrance” through the small door in the “Bizarre Room”. Proceed straight ahead into the “Queen’s Castle”, then take a left into the “Lotus Forest”.

The Cheshire Cat appears and gives you some pretty vague hints as to the location of the Pink Concertos. Make your way through the “Lotus Forest”, defeating any Heartless you find, until a second cutscene plays. The Cheshire Cat is now being a little more specific, pointing out that the Pink Concertos are hiding in the closed lotus flowers around the area. Examine them to make the Pink Concertos appear.

Pink Concertos emit a dark haze that inflicts Blindness, so keep your distance and exploit their weakness to Fire spells to take them out quickly. Defeat all four of the Pink Concertos in the “Lotus Forest”, then return to the “Queen’s Castle” and strike the cage next to the Queen’s throne until it drops to the ground, revealing the last Pink Concerto. Defeat it to obtain 100% Completion and then return to the “Rabbit Hole” to RTC.

Mission 52 – Collect Hearts

Rank: Agent
Treasure Chests: 8
Heart Points: x4.35
Munny: x13.05
EXP: x2.15

Heartless are hiding inside the balloons scattered throughout Halloween Town, as well as some other well-hidden spots. Fortunately, Zero and his love of bones are here to help you track them down again. Pick up Bones and feed them to Zero to have him lead you straight to your targets.

Once Zero has helped you find all the Heartless around, use the Pumpkin Bombs lying around in the “Graveyard” to light the four lanterns in the room. Simply strike a Pumpkin Bomb to start its timer. You can whack it around to position it just under a lantern before it explodes. Lighting all four lanterns will open the way to the “Boneyard 1” area.

Defeat Heartless in the “Boneyard 1” area, then light four more lanterns in this area to proceed to “Moonlight Hill”. It is here that you are ambushed by the three troublemakers who have been harassing you on previous Missions.

Boss: Lock, Shock, & Barrel

HP: 262.00 (each)          STR/DEF: 52.5 (each)

Lock, Shock, & Barrel are not difficult to defeat, especially compared to some of the enemies you’ve recently had to fight.

Simply attack each one until their HP drops. Keep an eye on the others while you’re targeting them one at a time, though.

Watch out for the Pumpkin Bombs they throw at you, and use the Block Ability if you can to send them flying right back at the three troublemakers.

After putting those three in their place, it’s time to complete the rest of the Mission at hand. Use Zero to help you track down the remaining Heartless in the “Moonlight Hill” area. When you’re done, you should have reached 100% Completion.

Mission 53 – Eliminate the Wavecrest

Rank: Agent
Treasure Chests: 0
Heart Points: x4.35
Munny: x13.05
EXP: x2.15

This new world brings its own unique gameplay mechanics to the table. Start by watching Captain Hook and Smee as they dig up buried treasure. Unfortunately, they seem to be digging up more Heartless than jewels. They’ll run off, leaving you to take care of all the Heartless that appear.

Another cutscene plays when you’re done fighting the Heartless. Proceed north toward the pirate ship until another cutscene plays in which Roxas meets Tinkerbell, who teaches him how to fly. Now you can fly around Neverland by pressing the Y Button after a jump. Once you’re in the air, hold the Y Button to go up, or hold the B Button to go down. You can drop back down to the ground by holding the B Button over land until Roxas touches back down.

With this new ability, you can explore the rest of Neverland in search of your target. There are lots of treasure chests to choose from, though most of them contain more Heartless. After you defeat them, you can examine the chests again to receive items. The treasure chest on the large rock face to the northeast contains the Heartless you’re after.

Boss: Wavecrest

HP: 642.40          STR/DEF: 52.5

The Wavecrest’s weak spot, like the Tailbunker and Avalanche before it, is its tail, so that should be your target as you’re fighting it. The biggest difference here is your new ability to fly, which can both help and hurt this battle. Hopefully you’ve become used to the flying controls, because you’re going to need to react quickly to avoid the Wavecrest’s attacks and dish out your own.

Like the Avalanche, the Wavecrest will never land, so this fight will entirely take place in the air. Maneuver up to the Wavecrest’s tail and unleash combos, backing off whenever the Wavecrest goes on the offensive. It’ll use the same moves as the Tailbunker and Avalanche, attacking with spinning tail swipes and swooping dives. Keep your distance in order to avoid these attacks.

The Wavecrest is very strong against magic, so you’ll have to rely solely on physical attacks to deal damage.

Mission 54 – Eliminate the Dual Blade

Rank: Agent
Treasure Chests: 2
Heart Points: x4.35
Munny: x13.05
EXP: x2.15

Head straight into the “Halloween Town Square” to find your target.

Boss: Dual Blade

HP: 1257.60          STR/DEF: 63.00

The Dual Blade is just like the Zip Slasher, only with a very low tolerance for Thunder spells, so use those to deal substantial damage. Like with the Zip Slasher, it’s best to wait for the Dual Blade to strike first, then block its attacks and strike while it’s still. This may make the battle longer, but it is the most effective way to ensure victory.

The Skater Bomb Heartless that accompany the Dual Blade during this battle will just keep coming if you defeat them, so try to ignore them for the most part. The shockwaves they send out can get very annoying though, so take them out if they get in your way too much.

Try using the Pumpkin Bombs lying around the area to deal some serious damage to the Dual Blade, as well as any unfortunate Skater Bombs that happen to be nearby when the explosion goes off.

Mission 55 – Collect Organization Emblems

Rank: Agent
Treasure Chests: 5
Heart Points: x4.35
Munny: x13.05
EXP: x2.15

Starting off in the “Rabbit Hole”, head into the “Bizarre Room” and use the bottles on the table to shrink down. The Organization Emblems will now appear. Use the Glide Ability to pick up emblems quickly, defeating Heartless whenever necessary to make the green rings reappear. There are four emblems in the “Bizarre Room”.

Head into the “Hedge Maze Entrance” for two more Organization Emblems, then head into the “Queen’s Castle” to find four more. Proceed into the Lotus Forest, where you’ll find another 13 Organization Emblems. The “Tea Party Garden”, accessible through the hole in the back wall of the “Lotus Forest”, is where the last three emblems will be.
