358/2 Days

KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days (said: Three Five Eight Days Over Two), released in 2009, acts as a “sidequel” to KINGDOM HEARTS Chain of Memories, and a prequel of sorts to KINGDOM HEARTS II.  The game backtracks the series’ story to fill in the events of Roxas’s time in Organization XIII.

The gameplay focuses on Mission-based objectives that must be completed in order to progress.  In addition to the main story, the game also offered harder objectives for several of its missions for players seeking more of a challenge.  The game also utilized the Nintendo DS’s wifi capabilities to host local multiplayer missions where players could take control of any member of Organization XIII, or many of the main cast heroes (like Sora, Donald, and Goofy).

KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days was also included in the KINGDOM HEARTS HD I.5 ReMIX collection for PlayStation 3, though not in the same manner as the other included titles.  358/2 Days was recreated as a nearly 3-hour HD Cinematic, meaning players could get the story of the game by watching a series of cutscenes rather than playing through it.

The HD Cinematic still featured PSN Trophy support, however, unlocking Trophies as certain percentages of the Cinematic were completed.

KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days was also featured in the KINGDOM HEARTS HD I.5 + II.5 ReMIX collection for the PlayStation 4, again in the form of an HD Cinematic.  However, in this version, the PSN Trophies unlocked for viewing the Cinematic have been removed.
