New KH II.8 HD FCP TGS2016 Trailer, Box Art, and International Release Date

Just officially released a few hours ago (4am EST to be precise), a brand new trailer for Kingdom Hearts II.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue has been released! The trailer showcases all three titles that are included in the PS4 bundle (Kingdom Hearts HD Dream Drop Distance, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 ~A Fragmentary Passage~, and Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover), with particular emphasis on the two new titles.

Viewers might immediately notice a new remixed “Simple and Clean” by Utada Hikaru that is simply awesome, as well as new scenes shown from the playable Aqua portions of the bundle and from the Kingdom Hearts χ cinematic! In one new scene, it appears that Aqua encounters the Magic Mirror from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, indicating that Dwarf Woodlands might also be a playable section of 0.2, in addition to the previously revealed Castle of Dreams. This raises the question as to whether or not Enchanted Dominion will also be featured during this title to complete the original trio from Birth by Sleep.

The game has also been revealed to have some level of DLC available, though the details surrounding that have not been officially released yet.

You can view the full trailer below, which also confirms a release date (albeit, slightly delayed) for the title. Kingdom Hearts II.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue will be released on January 12, 2017 in Japan, and January 24, 2017 Internationally.

Lastly, official International Box Art has been revealed for the game, which you can view below, courtesy of our friends at KH13.com.
