KH 3D: Famitsu Scans, Nintendo Power Scans, Voice Actors, & Premiere Event
With the Japanese release of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance getting closer and closer with each passing day, there’s been a lot of news regarding its impending release! In Japan, KH 3D has recently returned to Famitsu Weekly Magazine. These new scans feature some new renders of Sora and Riku in their outfits from The Grid, as well as the other characters from Tron: Legacy and even a render of Lea and the Mysterious Figure. Some new Dream Eaters are featured as well. You can view the scans below.
Square-Enix has also announced a Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance Premiere Event to take place on Saturday, March 3rd at the Venus Fort in Odaiba, Tokyo from 1:30 to 6:10 PM. The event is free for all to attend, but only a lucky 125 attendees will be able to access all the event has to offer! The event is to celebrate the release of KH 3D on March 29th, but also to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts Franchise! On the North American side of things, KH 3D has made its way into the March 2012 edition of Nintendo Power Magazine. This new issue features a very in-depth look at the game, including an exclusive interview with series head, Tetsuya Nomura. You can view the scans below.
And finally, North American voice recordings for the inevitable International Release of KH 3D have already begun. In addition to return regulars such as Haley Joel Osment (Sora), David Galligher (Riku), Jesse McCartney (Roxas/Ventus), and Quinton Flynn (Axel/Lea), four other returning voice actors have confirmed upcoming involvement in KH 3D.
Richard Epcar (Xehanort’s Heartless), Vincent Corazza (Zexion/Ienzo), and James Patrick Stuart (Xigbar/Braig) have all confirmed voice acting roles in KH 3D. Also, returning from his role in The World Ends With You, Jesse David Corti has confirmed that he is joining the cast of KH 3D by reprising his role as the voice of Neku Sakuraba.
